The symposium ‘Another World in This One: Gerald Murnane’s Fiction’, took place in the small Victorian town of Goroke on December 7, 2017 as part of the ‘Dialogues’ theme of the project.
Organised by Anthony Uhlmann, the symposium included presentations by Gerald Murnane, Ivor Indyk, Samantha Trayhurn, Brigid Rooney, Shannon Burns, Emmett Stinson and Anthony Uhlmann.

Gerald Murnane’s speech at the event was published in Sydney Review of Books (6 February 2018). The symposium received international attention and was covered by several journals.
